We regularly undertake design, manufacture and installation of specialist items for clients. These items can vary in size and finish and a selection are listed on this page.

Canopies

Canopies are frequently manufactured and installed as a covered area on the rear of a client’s unit or as a welcoming front to a client’s premises. These can enhance the appearance of a building making it aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The roof design can vary to suit requirements in both shape and covering.

Conservatories

We have a vast experience in producing large conservatories frequently used in garden centres. Made with a steel structure and glass panels.

Covered Walk Ways

As a follow on to our conservatory works we often produce covered walk ways providing sheltered links between buildings for clients. These can take an attractive form in painted steel with glass roofing and sides.  

Glass Walls

Glass walls are becoming a great way to brighten premises and give clear vision through the establishment. These are becoming frequently used in offices and retail. To ensure customers have complete vision in a retail premises we install glass walls around escalator pits.

Signage Support Steelwork

USS can fabricate signage support steelwork to meet your particular requirements, We can either work to your engineer’s or sign company’s drawings or produce our own design, various finishes are available.

Louvre Panel Enclosures

Louvre panel enclosures are made to measure and are normally used to keep condensers and alike secure whilst providing ventilation and protection from the elements. Often items such as air conditioning condensers are noisy and unsightly, our Louvre enclosures provide a cost effective way to keep these items out of site, finished to suit your requirements. 

Access Walkways

Floor level or raised access walkways, steps and associated handrails can be installed in warehouses, roofs and industrial productions areas giving you safe access to repair or maintain dufficult to reach machinery. Options of chequer plate decking or open mesh are commonly used in either galvanized or powder coated finish.

Security Grills

Made to measure using heavy duty mesh, ideal for securing windows and doors that are venerable to break in, either galvanized or painted finishes are available.  

A-Frames

A-Frame or Vertical Racking is the ideal solution for storing timber lengths, beading, plastic pipes, doors, ladders , roofing sheets, worktops, extrusions, aluminum, PVC & copper pipes up to 6m high.  

Pigeon Whole Racks

Designed for both the storage and easy selection of long products which are in danger of bending or sagging. A pigeon hole rack supports the product at regular intervals (or is fully supported if decked out) so that there is no pressure on any one area. The racks can be adapted to be any size but they are not usually more than 2.5m high as it becomes difficult to reach above this height. A roof and guttering can be added for outdoor use to provide protection against the elements.

Lift Shafts

The lift shaft is incorporated as part of the mezzanine floor removing need for forest of legs in this area. The structure for the lift shaft being column and beams clad with a stainless steel outer skin concealing fire protection to give finish in keeping with balustrade system or alternatively finish as per bulkhead.

Note the use of a steel lift shaft would require fire protection for building control.
